For the third year running, Plymouth Motorcycle Club are holding a charity bike ride on Easter Sunday in aid of the British Heart Foundation. This year, they are to donate half the proceeds to a charity called Debra. Debra was formed in 1978 by a group of parents with children with EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa). EB is a generic disorder causing blistering and shearing of the skin from even the gentlest friction. There are three major types of EB-they vary from relatively mild to incapacitating, disabling and sometimes fatal disorders.

A documentary on the television last year showing the pain that EB sufferers go through, featured Jonny Kennedy, " The boy whose skin fell off". For many, it was the first time they had heard of EB and many were distressed by the scenes of suffering. Jonny Kennedy has since died and will be remembered for his courageousness and bravery.

Both causes are worthy of help......the former researches and may help us all one day, the other happens to a minority of people with, perhaps a small voice. The bikers hope to try and make their voices heard. Please give generously on the day.
