Renaissance,a name chosen by the new owner, Lynne Hughes as she stepped into what had been The Chapter House in St Andrews St, Plymouth... "My thoughts went back to when we had an Hotel & Restaurant in Fowey," she said. “There was always music and laughter...the customers loved it!" Now after six months of trading in her new restaurant, things are really going well.
When asked has it been easy she replied that everything was now in place. "We have had several evenings, for instance the Ensemble evening on Wednesdays where we offer a meal for two plus a complimentary bottle of wine for £29.50. This is doing very well and I am having to turn people away."
With this success, and the News Club on Thursday lunchtimes, and music increasing in popularity, Lynne has now organised another tempting offer for £29.50 for two, planned for the next experience when possible.
'SWISH THE SALSA' evening on the 'THIRST' FRIDAY IN EVERY MONTH including Paella and a jug of Sangria, or choose from the extensive A-La-Carte menu always available." Finally, with a full licence and - for those who do not wish to eat, there's the Long Bar, The Deck and the atmosphere.............."
" It's a compliment." Her mother said. "I never realised how much Lynne enjoyed those early years."
